The real value of AI assistants is in how you enable them, it isn't in their raw intelligence.

Onboard them properly on day 1, just like you would a new hire. Let them build context. Let them retain what they learn across interactions. Give them access to the right tools and information and introduce them to your team.

These are normal things we expect from any new colleague. Why would we expect less from AI assistants?

If you put Einstein in a room with no context and handed him your work questions and erased his short-term memory every day, you'd probably get smart answers but likely not the ones you needed. Now take someone equally capable, but properly enabled: with access, context and the ability to learn. That person delivers. Not just smart answers but the right answers.

The same applies to AI assistants. Intelligence without enablement is just a party trick.

Dit zijn normale dingen die we van elke nieuwe collega verwachten. Waarom zouden we minder verwachten van AI?

Als je Einstein in een kamer zet zonder context en hem je vragen voorlegt, krijg je waarschijnlijk slimme antwoorden maar waarschijnlijk niet de antwoorden die je nodig had. Neem nu iemand die even capabel is, maar goed gefaciliteerd: met toegang, context en het vermogen om van jou te leren. Die persoon levert. Niet alleen slimme antwoorden, maar de juiste antwoorden.

Hetzelfde geldt voor AI-assistenten. Intelligentie zonder facilitering is niet meer dan een kunstje.
